![]() Technically, man did write the 'bible'. Actually, you could also consider them 'journals'. That's the 'Old Testament'. The 'New Testament'? Mostly Saul of Tarsus's (Paul the Apostle) letters to various churches he helped form and specific people he thanked for their help. It is a daunting task to look at various writings of various people of various backgrounds in various religions and realize . . . it's ALL ONE IN THE SAME. Same energy; personified 'deity' and the naming of that deity. Same energy; residing/existing within us, limitless in form and function. Same energy; mans ego and arrogance (think 'ego', 'superego', 'id') pretty much 'fell' upon the world and 'partook' of the 'fleshy desires' of man and accepted the 'worldly goods' presented to man (can you say 'tempted'?). Can one man . . . or men . . . describe the very nature of 'God'? Through the 'rewrites' (man did, of course, have a hand in that), God was seen as 'vengeful' (O.T.) and 'loving' (N.T.). How could he destroy humankind and 'save' only a handful of people to 'repopulate' the Earth? Impossible? The energy in the universe; what is truly in us, is directly from what is known as the Big Bang. Did God actually 'create' the 'universe'? And, did God create the Earth in 6,000 years (archaeologists have proven differently; or was 'carbon dating' flawed?). No one truly knows, do they? Those archaeologists that claim to be Christian see it ONLY ONE WAY. Unfortunately their scientific education and academic prowess lacks in their one-sided view. Can it be that we have been deceived into thinking that 'religion' is the 'only way' when, in fact, it is only the true separation of man from God? Hmmm . . . makes you wonder, doesn't it? |
