The Journey of a Lifetime Begins with a Single Step
At what point did we decide that we had to have a place to go to understand why we feel the way we do or to try and figure out why we are here? In some strange way, that place, with all its religiosity and flagrant emotional outbursts, became the bane of every culture on the planet. It is this ideology, this man-made philosophy, that brought men to their knees and conquered kingdoms. The lack of morality and ethics gave way to a more debased society.
At one point in our journey, we encountered many facets of beliefs. More to the point, we are mostly raised in an environment where 'church' was where you went to on a Sunday and where you were taught what discipline was if and when you misbehaved. A function of the 'church' was to 'bring you up' in ways that were conducive and beneficial to your parents. What we settled for was a watered down method of child-rearing that left out the finer points of life, like, knowing the 'inner most feeling' that is called 'intuition' or that 'gut feeling' you get from time to time.
Listening to preachers or various clergy about life, about how one should live, is based entirely upon their own environments and what they encountered in their lives. For them to tell anyone how to live is only putting on them the very thing that will turn a 'normal' person into a carbon copy of the man behind the pulpit. This is not spiritual freedom. This is philosophical slavery.
At one point in our journey, the energies that surround us encapsulate us and energize us and guide us throughout our lives. The process of living is only less difficult when one is attuned to the energies that surround them. This is the same energy that is throughout the vastness of the galaxy and the universe.
When a person begins their journey through life, after being born into it in a chaotic and engramic manner, one can only adjust and adapt to the flow of life, making no attempt at shunning the mechanical ways beset upon them. The teachings of the elders of the 'church' and the parents we have are used as tools to lessen the efforts at personal development. This happens at a very young age. After the turn to manhood or womanhood, as youth falls away, the jaded lessons of life taught by the 'church' and over protective parents soon becomes clear. One will have the opportunity to either change the direction they are traveling on their 'path' in life or they will succumb to the ever present suppression of their surroundings and the rote methods of those that failed to reach their goals they set for themselves.
Throughout life one can only see what is in front of them. They were never taught there was another way of looking at things. It wasn't until they realized they have been duped into believing something untrue that they finally became conscious and broke the shackles that had bound them to earthly beliefs.
The corridors of time are filled with experiences people have had and their final outcomes, whether good or bad. The lessons we are to learn, or that we have learned, are with us today. The lessons we are to learn have come with a price. As with anything, the price we pay to learn new things seems well worth the effort we put into planning and implementing those things.
